A Safe Space to Heal the Mind and the Body.
Our goal is to provide a safe and clean, modern space where individuals will be assisted by a peer assistant guide. Through dedication and hard work, we will utilize every resource we have to assure that those affected by domestic violence have a safe and peaceful space to heal.
Not only do we assist with domestic violence, but we also have joined in on the fight against HIV, AIDS, drug addictions, victims of sexual abuse, and mental health. We have a 55 single room transitional housing facility that helps facilitate a safe and secure transition for those in need.
Meet The Founder
Monique credits her upbringing as the cause of her passion for serving in general and serving her family. She was born to a praying mother of great faith! She has three siblings, of which Monique is the oldest. Her biological father was an intelligent fellow, but unfortunately, his addiction to heroin and alcohol got the best of him. Her mom was a victim of domestic violence but was determined to save Monique and her siblings from that type of life. It was her mothers journey and survivorship that fueled Moniques drive to provide A safe space for others to thrive and SURVIVE.
Working Together For Everyone
Thanks to retailers such as IKEA, The Doorsways Foundation, and the hard efforts of our team, we are able to provide modern single unit living spaces for those effected by domestic violence. Each space is fully furnished and equipped with its own kitchenette and bathroom. We also provide a Live In Peer Person to assist with daily task and help make your transition into a safer future easier.
Support from a Community
The success of Surviving often increases within the context of a community. Our approach extends beyond the physical safety to help ensure everyone has the necessary support to also heal mentally and emotionally.
“He sent his word and healed them, and saved them from their destruction.”
— Psalm 107:20
